"What's really needed is nothing more than a broad sense of what you are looking for, some strategy for how to find it, and an overriding willingness to embrace mistakes and surprises along the way. Simply put, making art is chancy - it doesn't mix well with predictability. Uncertainty is the essential, inevitable and all-pervasive companion to your desire to make art."

E is for ... Exhale

The muse was smiling upon me this morning. I set out to make a collage in order to simply get my hands moving and the creative juices going, and to show Resistance that I wasn't going to listen to it today, and "exhale" emerged.

Sea

It's been a while. The holidays really threw me off my artmaking track. I'm slowly but surely getting back on, and should be posting more regularly soon.

I have to admit that I made this painting (which is entitled "Descent") about 6 months ago. As much as I intended to make a new image for IlloFriday, I didn't, but I really wanted to post something and I think this fits this week's theme pretty well.
