Encaustics in my studio: Day 2

Today's encaustic session went very well. I spent some time sketching and thinking about the process yesterday evening, and went into the studio with some idea of where I wanted to go. And these two 8"x8" panels are the result. I'm very happy with them. I feel like I'm learning how to make this medium my own. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow!

These are wonderful Angela. Encaustic can be a challenge but you seem to have conquered it well

They are both very adorable, but I prefer the first one because of the simplicity and I love the scratched lines.

gorgeous! This medium seem to be perfect for your abstract, textural style

Sylvie - Thank you! I feel the same. I feel like the first one is a complete work, but I think I still need to work on the second one a bit.

Ellen - Thank you! I love your choice of words. :) I really do feel like this medium is a great match for what I want to express through my art.

Looks great Angela. Something that I haven't tried yet but a process that seems quite remarkable.
